For more information on the airport, go to http://www.bwiairport.com/ .

ITEMS TO BRING. Within camp, we will conduct spirit events that involve advance preparation. We ask that you bring to camp, the following; 1.) Swimming team T-shirt. This is a shirt of a team that you are currently on or have participated on in the past. 2.) Favorite Musician/Group. One shirt of your favorite singer, groups, bands, etc. 3.) A yellow shirt. Other than the color, this is a non-specific shirt. You will be divided into one of two teams for camp; Blue or Gold. For the meet on the final day, campers will be competing for either the blue or gold team. Since campers will already be issued a blue t-shirt at the start of camp, we want those on the Gold team to have a yellow shirt (or gold t-shirt if you have one) for the meet.

VIDEO REMINDER. We are excited to offer two video promotions for 2008.

1. The 1st video promotion will be in conjunction with Thornton Studios of Annapolis, MD. Brochures highlighting Navy Swimming Camp DVD and photography were mailed out last week. Information can be found at http://www.plebesummer.com/summercamp/index.asp

2. The second video promotion is in conjunction with 1980 US Olympian Glenn Mills. Using an underwater High Definition camera, Glenn will be in the water with your swimmer, as he/ she perform a length of each stroke. Glenn will then prepare a DVD featuring the compilation in real speed, and slow-motion. While it's not feasible for a verbal evaluation, Glenn is also offering his "Go Swim All-Strokes DVD" ($40 retail), featuring Olympian's Erik Vendt, and Kaitlin Sandeno, so your swimmer can compare and contrast their strokes, with the greats.

For $70, you will receive two DVDs. Your personalized video, as well as the Go Swim All-Strokes DVD, mailed to you. DVD’s may be ordered starting now through the end of camp registration at 2:00 pm. For more information and to place your order, email glenn@goswim.tv Orders may be paid for at camp registration in the form of cash or check.

For the latest updates including more detail on both video promotions, please go to www.navyswimmingcamp.com. All updates including the camp schedule can be found at the camp website. See you soon. Go Navy!

Video.  The following is the 2nd of two video promotions.  We are pleased to make both video promotions available to everyone in 2008.

Have your swimmer professionally filmed by one of the most prolific videographers in the swimming industry.  1980 US Olympian Glenn Mills has built a library of instructional videos featuring some of the most successful swimmers in history.  These athletes include Brendan Hansen, Aaron Peirsol, Amanda Beard, and many others.  Having served as the Technical Advisor for Swimming World Magazine for the past 4 years, Glenn has acquired a skill of capturing swimmers in a way unparralled in swimming.

Glenn has offered to prepare a video for each Navy Camper, filmed in the same way he films the elite athletes.

Payment in cash or checks payable to Glenn Mills.  If you'd like to prepay, you can mail your check to:

 Glenn Mills
114 Golden Eye Court
Chester, MD 21619

Take advantage of this opportunity to create a unique stroke film of your swimmer, and hopefully, the next time Glenn films you; it will be to create a full DVD with you featured as one of the top, elite swimmers in the world.

For more information about Glenn, as well as previewing a selection of his DVDs, as well as hundreds of online drills and articles, visit www.goswim.tv .
